A popular motel and eatery in the centre of St. John’s is reassuring COVID-wary customers after a restaurant with a similar name in another province reported potential exposure to the virus over the weekend.
Governor’s Pub and Eatery in Sydney, Nova Scotia posted the advisory on Saturday, adding the location was shutting down at least until December 2nd.
That prompted operators of the Gov’nor Inn and Pub on Elizabeth Avenue to post a clarification on social media, saying they were not involved at all, and that it was simply a case of mistaken identity.
The St. John’s Gov’nor stated they are open for business and will remain vigilant in their response to COVID-19, with the health and well-being of staff and guests their top priority.
