The Kamutik W is making its last trip for the 2020 shipping season. All freight and cargo destined for the north coast will be delivered on this trip.

There was a 17 per cent increase in shipments through Labrador Marine this year over last. About 14,538 tons were shipped in 2020, compared to 12,358 tons in 2019.

The Woodward Group of Companies says just over 3,100 passengers were carried to and from the coast this year—a 21 per cent drop from the previous year due to COVID-19.

Woodward’s says preparations are already underway for the 2021 season and will include consultation with local government officials and ferry users.
