Police in Clarenville were busy Saturday night after an impaired driver pulled up to the scene of a robbery.
RCMP first received a call of a robbery at Easy Street Pub shortly after 11 p.m.
They say a man, wearing dark clothing and a hoodie that covered his face, jumped the counter and stole a quantity of cash. He fled the area on foot.
In an unrelated incident, a 29-year-old Clarkes Beach man was arrested for impaired driving after he pulled his truck onto the parking lot while police were on the scene.
He was later found to be over two times the legal limit.
He was released from custody and will appear in court in the new year.
As for the robbery, no arrests have yet been made and anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
