Dozens of tickets were handed to drivers this week as part of another pop-up traffic initiative by the RNC and RCMP.
Over a two-hour period on Tuesday morning, officers handed out 28 tickets to speeding drivers on the Trans-Canada in Paradise. One driver lost their licence and vehicle for breaking the limit by over 50 km/h.
Then, in the afternoon, police targeted aggressive and distracted drivers within a metro-region school zone.
A total of six tickets were doled out for using a cellphone while driving, 17 tickets were issued for speeding, and seven people were ticketed for failing to use a seatbelt.
