Public Health officials say there are now three active cases of COVID-19 in Harbour Breton. One new case of the virus was confirmed in the province today.
The concern, according to health officials, is that the original source of the Harbour Breton cases has not yet been identified.
That means that the source may be a case not previously identified. The investigation continues.
The latest case involves a man in his 60s, who is a resident of this province. He is isolating and contact tracing is underway.
Starting Dec 10, residents of Harbour Breton, with or without symptoms, are encouraged to contact 811 and arrange testing for COVID-19. Please follow public health measures including wearing masks, staying home as much as possible and avoid holding gatherings for the time being.
