A 48-year-old man has been charged in connection with the alleged misappropriation of more than $1.2-million from Gander Aviation.
RCMP were notified in November of 2018 by an employee about suspected fraudulent activities concerning the finances of the company.
Gander RCMP launched an investigation that was turned over to the RCMP’s General Investigation Section as well as the Forensic Accounting Management Group of Public Services.
According to police, a lengthy investigation resulted in enough evidence to support a charge, laid on December 10 in connection with transactions that occurred between January of 2015 and November of 2018.
Gerald Templeman is facing one count of fraud over $5,000 including numerous frauds over a three year period. He’s scheduled to appear in Gander court March 9.
