A 55-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on the Veteran’s Memorial last night.
Bay Roberts RCMP were called to the scene between the exits to Spaniard’s Bay and Bay Roberts around 9:45.
Police found a car on its roof in the ditch. The man was located a distance away from the vehicle. Police say the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash caused the temporary closure of the highway for a period of time last night.
