Poor weather conditions have forced the city of Corner Brook to pull transit buses off the roads.

Users who have not yet made their way to their destination are being advised to use alternate transportation as buses started coming off their routes at 4 p.m.

Meanwhile, Canada Post has issued red service alerts for some parts of the province.

Service has been discontinued in Fogo because of a power outage, while mail delivery has been halted in Corner Brook because of the weather.

Meanwhile, yellow alerts are in place in the St. John’s area, eastern, central and western Newfoundland. A yellow alert means that mail carriers will do their best to deliver, but that there may be delays.
