An early-morning traffic stop in the Marystown area earlier this week resulted in charges against a 19-year-old man from Burin.
Police noticed a truck swerving on the road around 4:00 Monday morning. The officer pulled the vehicle over and the driver failed a roadside breath test.
A subsequent breath sample showed levels over the legal limit.
The young man was arrested for impaired driving. The truck was seized and impounded and the driver’s licence was suspended.
