Despite a financially trying year, the Royal Canadian Legion is still doing its part to spread a little holiday cheer this holiday season.
Earlier today, members from Branch 56 dropped off Christmas Comfort and Cheer Packages at the Caribou Memorial Veterans Pavillion for long term care residents.

Branch President John Macdonald says they have 56 packages, comprised of everyday essentials such as toiletries and socks.
Legions across the province have been going through hard times lately due to the pandemic, but Macdonald says it was still important to make the donations.
“It’s better to give than to receive,” he believes, saying that while funds are tight they were able to pull together what they need.
