A local union leader is urging people to take some time for a little self-care this Christmas season.
NAPE President Jerry Earle says when times are difficult we tend to focus on the needs of others, but it’s equally important to take some time to care for yourself.
He says nothing is more important than finding time for yourself and enjoying the things that mean the most to you.
Meanwhile, Psychologist, Dr. Janine Hubbard says the Christmas season can be tough for some, but offering a helping hand can make all the difference to those struggling.
Dr. Hubbard says sometimes the smallest gestures of kindness can make the biggest difference.
She says things like going for a walk with someone, dropping off some baked goods or even supper or just being an ear to listen can help lift spirits.
