RNC in Corner Brook have arrested and charged a man after an overnight robbery in the area.

Shortly after 12:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 5, police responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred in the downtown area of Corner Brook.

A man, brandishing a weapon, approached a woman at an ATM in the Caribou Road area and demanded money.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

The Constabulary contained the area of the crime scene, found the suspect and arrested him without incident. A 36-year-old man, who has been charged with armed robbery and breach of probation, was remanded until at least Thursday.
