Two men and a woman have been arrested after the seizure of four kilograms of cocaine following a trafficking investigation in Ontario and Newfoundland and Labrador.
The arrests came after an investigation by the RCMP Federal Serious and Organized Crime Unit in St. John’s and other federal policing units in Gander and Ontario, and Canadian Postal inspectors.
Search warrants were executed simultaneously on Monday in Etobicoke, Ontario and St. John’s.
In Etobicoke, three kilograms of cocaine was seized, resulting in the arrest of a man while in St. John’s police seized one kilogram and arrested a man and a woman.
A quantity of cash, electronic devices and other items consistent with drug trafficking were also seized.
Charges are expected both in Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario.
