The trans-island DRL bus service is being suspended for the time being because staff are not comfortable traveling back and forth to the St. John’s region.
General Manager Jason Roberts understands that’s an inconvenience for patrons who rely on the service, but he says his employees are no longer comfortable given the outbreak and Dr. Janice Fitzgerald’s advice against unnecessary travel to and from the metro region.
Service will be halted tomorrow until further notice.
He says the suspension is purely a precautionary measure at this time, and he will monitor the outbreak situation with updates as necessary.
