Labrador Marine is reintroducing passenger restrictions on the Strait of Belle Isle Service in response to the province returning to Alert Level 5, effective today.
These restrictions include an 83 passenger maximum, with a maximum of 36 passengers in the lounge. All passengers in the lounge must practice six-foot physical distancing and wear a mask. As many passengers as possible will be accommodated in vehicles on deck.
Residents of the province will be allowed to board only if they are traveling for essential work or medical appointments, or to pick up essential supplies, return home, or move for relocation.
Passengers from outside the province require an exemption from the Chief Medical Officer of Health or an essential service letter from their employer.
