There are seven newly-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the province today and another 25 presumptive positives.
All the cases are in the Eastern Health region, and each person has been directed to isolate.
Among the confirmed positive cases, two are under the age of 20, one is between 20 and 39, two are in their 40s, one is in their 50s, and one person is in their 70s.
There have been eight new recoveries since yesterday, six within Eastern Health and two in Western Health.
That brings the total of known active cases of COVID-19 to 297. To date, over 94,000 people have been tested.
Note: Today’s 25 new presumptive positive cases are in addition to the 21 announced yesterday. None of the 21 presumptive cases reported yesterday have confirmatory testing completed yet.
