Western Health is opening a rapid COVID testing clinic at the Valley Mall in Corner Brook.
The clinic is being opened to help detect cases in people who do not have symptoms, helping to limit the spread of the virus.
The testing clinic will be located in the upper level of the mall at the rear entrance. It will not be accessible from inside the facility.
No appointments are needed, and all those who arrive for a test will be guided through the process by a parking lot attendant.
In particular, high school students and people who have been in the St. John’s-metro area since February 3 are being asked to get tested.
Those with at least one COVID symptom, those who have visited a location announced in a public health advisory, or those who have been in contact with a confirmed case are not to visit the clinic. Instead, they are asked to fill out the online assessment or contact 811 for testing.
The clinic will be open from Thursday until Monday.
- Thursday and Friday, February 19 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and
- Saturday to Monday, February 22 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
