An unfortunate situation in Gander Thursday night, as the town’s trail groomer was out of commission for a few days after getting stuck in a bog.

The operator of the machine was new to the area and filling in for the regular operator as the town had received many requests for the trails to be groomed. However, he took a wrong turn following snowmobile tracks and ended up on top of the bog, where the machine began to sink. His attempts to manoeuvre the machine proved fruitless as the machine remained stuck. The driver was not injured.

The machine is now back up and running.
