The PC Party has committed to studying and implementing point-of-entry testing within two weeks if they take power in the provincial election.
Point-of-entry testing has been a contentious topic throughout the pandemic, with the Liberal Party saying the science isn’t there to back up its use.
PC Leader Ches Crosbie disagrees, arguing that other provinces such as Alberta and Nova Scotia have embraced forms of point-of-entry testing.
Crosbie says that when done properly, such testing is an extra layer of security, and commits to implementing it within 14 days of taking office following what they say will be a “comprehensive review” of its use in other areas.
