The Department of Health and Community Services is reporting 10 new cases of COVID-19 in the Eastern Health region as the number of people in hospital continues to rise.
There are now 10 people in hospital due to the virus, up from six yesterday. Five of those patients are in ICU, which is up from three yesterday.
Of today’s cases:
· Two under 20 years of age;
· Two between 20-39 years of age;
· Four between 40-49 years of age;
· One between 50-59 years of age; and,
· One between 60-69 years of age.
There have been 19 new recoveries in Eastern Health and one in Western. There are no outstanding presumptive positives.
The total number of active cases is 335, and to date over 110,000 people have been tested.
