Residents in the Town of Salmon Cove are anticipating some answers tonight regarding some shake-ups on their town council.

In a post to Facebook that also acknowledged the resignation of councillor Lisa Rodgers, Mayor Gordon King announced his own resignation. He states that he has been on a leave of absence that would have expired on Sunday. However, the reasons for his absence are still pertinent, and he has decided to resign.

Now, the town has announced that there will be a special meeting of council to be held this evening at 7:30. Any residents wishing to hear what is said can do so via a conference call.
