Burin Peninsula RCMP are charging a man after he was caught driving 96 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
While on patrol in Point May Thursday night, RCMP flashed the lights on a car. The driver did not stop for police and pulled into a driveway, where the officer caught up with him. The man provided a breath sample that was above the provincial limit.
He was issued a seven-day driver’s license suspension and was ticketed for operating a vehicle without insurance and driving without a license, along with other offences. His car was seized and impounded.
