A new poll released by Abacus data indicates the federal Liberals have regained what is being described as a “clear lead” over the Conservatives.
The Liberals have a four-point lead in popular support over the Conservatives, coming in at 34 per cent. According to the poll, the NDP has 18 per cent support.
Here in Atlantic Canada, support for the Liberals is the strongest, with the party holding a 19 point lead.
Liberal support is at its worst in the Prairies, where the Conservatives are said to be leading by “wide margins.”
Overall, 39 per cent of respondents said it’s time for a change in government. That number is down 11 points from the leadup to the 2019 election, in which case 50 per cent said it was time to switch things up.
The survey was conducted with over 3,900 Canadian adults from January 29 to February 3.
