Officials in Newfoundland and Labrador are watching the coronavirus situation in New Brunswick closely as that region deals with a situation that is all too familiar.
Yesterday, that province had 30 new cases in the Edmunston region prompting a “circuit breaker” response and tightening of restrictions similar to what was done at the onset of the metro area outbreak in this province in February.
One week ago the Atlantic provinces announced the intention to reform an Atlantic Bubble in mid-April, but this latest outbreak is causing some to question those timelines.
In a statement, Premier Andrew Furey says they are monitoring the COVID-19 situation in each province as the reopening of the bubble is considered.
