The province’s minister of education is addressing concerns from parents of students taking semesterized classes.
With a semesterized course, students learn a full year’s worth of material in a single semester, heightening the need for uninterrupted instruction.
Minister Tom Osborne says the current modified scenario 2 structure maximizes the instruction time students will receive.
He says he has full faith in the guidelines set by Public Health and right now full-time in-person instruction is not possible under those guidelines.
Osborne says this is the best they can do as they are somewhat restricted in having all students in class.
