Police on the west coast are investigating the theft of catalytic converters from two businesses in Stephenville.
The first incident happened on April 2nd. Police say that sometime overnight catalytic converters were cut out of several Precision Enterprise vehicles while parked at Containerized Sanitation on Carolina Avenue. That building was also broken into and an undisclosed amount of cash stolen.
Then, there was a similar incident reported 10 days later. A catalytic converter was cut out of an Atlantic Ready Mix vehicle while parked on Brook Street. That theft is believed to have occurred sometime between April 9th and 12th.
