Over 70 per cent of eligible Newfoundlanders and Labradorians have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
The major milestone was announced yesterday afternoon as part of the Department of Health’s regular vaccine updates.
That stat is roughly in line with the country’s vaccine rollout, as just over 70 per cent of Canadians 12 and older had received their first dose. About eight per cent of Canadians—over 3-million of the total population—are considered fully vaccinated.
In Newfoundland and Labrador, over 337,000 people have rolled up their sleeves as the province continues its immunization rollout.
Appointments can be booked through the online utility, or by contacting your regional health authority.
