Fully vaccinated Canadians and permanent residents returning to Canada by air will soon be able to avoid a mandatory quarantine.
The first stage in loosening the border restrictions that have been in place for 15 months will begin at 1:30 a.m. NDT July 5.
Federal Transport Minister Omar Alghabra says more announcements could follow.
Alghabra also announced that the government is ending the ban on incoming flights from Pakistan, but is extending the ban on flights from India for at least another month.
