Nominations are now open for the 2026 Derrick Bragg Leadership Award.
Bragg, a former cabinet minister under Andrew Furey, served as the town clerk in Greenspond for 30 years before running for provincial politics.
He passed away in 2024 at the age of 59.
The award recognizes people who make a “significant and lasting” contribution in the province’s municipal sector.
Last year’s recipient was Lizeta Gould, the town manager in Port aux Choix.
Nominations must be submitted by Wednesday, May 20th.
