A 30-year-old man has been charged with second degree murder in connection with the death of a man last night in Roaches Line.

Patrick Sulurayok of Nunavut was arrested and held in custody pending a court appearance today.

Police were called to a commercial accommodation in Roaches Line around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday following a report of an unresponsive man. The man was taken to hospital in Carbonear where he later died.

The investigation continues.

Police in Conception Bay North are investigating what they are calling the suspicious death of a man in the area of Roaches Line.

RCMP are saying little at this time—only to say the man’s death is suspicious, and that more information is expected “as soon as possible.”

Area residents reported a heavy police presence in the area this morning.
