A makeshift memorial has been created at the scene of a traffic accident that claimed the life of a young mother last week.

RNC are investigating the incident, which occurred in the area of the crosswalk at Empire Avenue and Monchy Street, but say all evidence points to a tragic accident.

The 28-year-old victim was struck late last Friday afternoon and later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
