Air travelers now have a direct return flight between Newfoundland and Fredericton, New Brunswick.
PAL Airlines launched its inaugural flight this morning from Deer Lake.
The air connection will be offered six days a week, in addition to PAL’s Deer Lake to Moncton, route which was launched in January.
Later this week, PAL will add a new service to Halifax six times weekly, along with a one-stop to Ottawa six days per week from both Fredericton and Moncton.
President and CEO of Deer Lake Regional Airport, Tammy Priddle calls it tremendous news for the community.
Meanwhile, WestJet resumed its daily Toronto to St. John’s flight and will restart its route from Gander to Halifax—three times a week—beginning June 30.
