There are no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Newfoundland and Labrador today.
Over the past week, there has been just one positive test reported across the province. That, as the provincial tally of active cases has settled into the single digits.
One new recovery in the Western Health region leaves just five known instances of COVID-19 active in Newfoundland and Labrador—one of which is currently in hospital.
According to the most recent numbers released by the provincial department, almost 79 per cent of eligible residents have received their first vaccine dose. About 16.6 per cent have received their second dose of vaccine.
94,400 total doses are anticipated this week.
