Ambulance workers in Burin, St. Lawrence and Conception Bay North have reached an agreement with the employer.
NAPE members at Collin’s Ambulance Service Ltd. (Fewer’s Group of Ambulance Services) have voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement. NAPE President Jerry Earle says it contains increases in wages and improvements to contract language and benefits.
Earle says the 40-plus emergency medical responders, primary care paramedics, advanced care paramedics and dispatchers provide a vital service to their communities, when every second counts.
Details of the agreement are not being released as other groups are at the bargaining table.
NAPE represents more than 40 members at Collin’s Ambulance Service Ltd.
