The RNC arrested a 37-year-old man on Blackhead Road in Shea Heights yesterday following an investigation into a reported stolen vehicle.
Witnesses report the vehicle speeding through the downtown area before turning onto Blackhead Road.
It finally came to rest on a lawn in the Shea Heights area.
Police issued an advisory early yesterday afternoon asking people to avoid the area while they attempted to locate the suspect.
RNC say the incident was not related to a police presence in Shea Heights the previous day in connection with a report of suspicious activity in the area.
The accused in yesterday’s arrest is scheduled to appear in court today.
