A 20-year-old man is facing assault charges after allegedly attacking two people in Conception Bay South.

Around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, RNC received a call of an assault in CBS. Police arrived on the scene to two victims with non-life-threatening injuries. One was treated at the scene by paramedics, while the other was sent to hospital.

Officers found the suspect at a different location and charged him with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The man was released to appear in court at a later date.
