The Nature Conservancy of Canada has a new program director in this province.
Piers Evans of St. John’s has been named to a role that the Nature Conservancy describes as “a new real estate agent for nature.”
Evans holds science degrees and has been involved in a number of conservation programs throughout the Avalon Peninsula.
The Nature Conservancy has completed over 30 conservation projects and has protected over 14,000 acres of wetlands, forests and coastal areas across the island since 1996.
