RCMP have arrested a prolific offender for violating the conditions of his release order.

Whitbourne RCMP say 34-year-old Lewis Sooley was arrested on Saturday after failing to comply with a condition of his release requiring him to call the detachment to check in.

Sooley was arrested at his home in Heart’s Delight and was held in custody pending a court appearance on Tuesday.

RCMP say they conduct checks to ensure that those on court-imposed conditions are complying with their release orders.

They are also inviting the public to share any information they may have with police.
