Candidates in the St. John’s municipal election have come forward expressing frustration with more instances of campaign signs being removed from private properties.
Incumbent candidate in Ward 3, Jamie Korab says he found dozens of signs after being tipped off that campaign signs were being dumped on the unfinished section of the Team Gushue Highway.
Frustrated…
A lot of my signs were taken right off peoples lawns in Cowan Heights.
A kind resident reached out on the dump site.
This is what I found (ironically) on the unfinished section of the Team Gushue Highway.
I’ll drop these off to the candidates. Inbox me! #nlpoli pic.twitter.com/4Dww063Raq— Jamie Korab (@jamiekorab) September 3, 2021
Fellow candidate Walter Harding is also expressing his frustration with the situation, as well as Mount Pearl candidate Terry Ryan.
The signs include those belonging to both municipal and federal candidates. Korab says he’ll drop the signs he found dumped in an open area to the affected candidates.
