A home was destroyed and two others damaged following a fire in the east end of St. John’s yesterday.
Crews were called to Blackwood place shortly before 4 p.m.
According to the St. John’s Regional Fire Department, smoke could be seen coming from one of the townhouses on the street.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, but the home was extensively damaged. Two other houses, attached on either side, received smoke and water damage as a result.
There were no injuries, however, the people in all three houses have been displaced. The Red Cross was contacted to help with emergency purchases and shelter.
