Larry was too much for the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent at Quidi Vidi as high winds heavily damaged the structure.

Last night’s performance was canceled. CEO John Steele and crews are at Quidi Vidi today picking up the pieces – and there are many pieces to pick up.
A few more images from the damage sustained at the Iceberg Alley Performance Tent as a result of #HurricaneLarry. The main structure is downed by winds. @VOCMBen @RadioGregSmith @icebergalleyNL @590VOCM #nlwx pic.twitter.com/FPR4CvrLAC

Steele says the main thing is that nobody was injured. He says taking down the tent is a massive job which takes a lot of time because of the infrastructure inside, and they just did not have enough time to go that route.
The tent was designed to withstand winds of 120-125 km/h but it failed just before 2:00 a.m. as winds were gusting to 145 km/h.
