A virtual town hall is scheduled for this evening to discuss the future of the Carbonear General Hospital.
The Health Accord process is underway and there are fears in the Trinity-Conception area that Carbonear General could be downgraded and services lost.
Pat Cullen with the Save Carbonear General Hospital Services Facebook group says members of the NL Health Accord Task Force will be part of this evening’s zoom call and the public is invited to log in.
In the meantime, a public rally in support of saving services at Carbonear General is planned for this Saturday at noon opposite the hospital’s main entrance on Earle’s Lane.
Details on tonight’s virtual town hall can be found on the Save Carbonear General Hospital Services Facebook page.
