A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help bring home the family of an Inuk activist who passed away suddenly on September 7th in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Diem Saunders, 29, left behind a young son.
Saunders’ sister Loretta was murdered in 2015 leading to the conviction of a Halifax couple who had been subletting her apartment.
The GoFundMe account was launched to help relieve some of the financial stress faced by family members who are trying to get home for the funeral and to take care of Saunders’ child.
