The provincial government says there was a lot of interest in the public consultation process for the PERT report over the summer.
The report itself was released back in the spring under a blanket of controversy regarding some of the recommendations.
Finance Minister Siobhan Coady says there was great interest in the public consultation process.
She says there were over 1,500 submissions online and about 110 in-person participants. She states that government is working on a “what we heard” document.
Coady reaffirms a sentiment that has been expressed all along by government in that not all recommendations will be accepted, noting that some may be altered or not considered at all.
