The St. John’s Regional Fire Department’s Dollar a Day fundraiser has been temporarily sidelined due to tropical storm Odette.
Raise the Bucket for Mental Health was scheduled for Sunday outside Mile One Centre.
But with the storm promising high winds and heavy rain, the decision was made to postpone for now.
A number of public figures and municipal leaders were lined up to spend time high up in the fire truck bucket to help raise money for the cause.
A new date for the event has yet to be announced.
📢Due to the pending weather forecast, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our Raise The Bucket fundraiser. The safety of our volunteers & public are of the utmost importance.
Thank you for the support! Please stay tuned for a new date & schedule in the coming days. pic.twitter.com/1BkEChmZAH
