People from across the province will join those across the country tomorrow for the annual Terry Fox Run.
The annual event is one of the country’s largest fundraisers in support of cancer research. No large events are planned again this year, but participants are being asked to get involved with their own individual runs, whether it be in their yard or their neighbourhood or community.
The Terry Fox Foundation has collected over $850 million dollars worldwide since 21-year-old Fox set out on his cross-Canada run to raise one million dollars back in 1980.
That run was cut short when the cancer that claimed his leg returned, but others have taken up the torch to continue raising money for the cause.
