It looks like the SPLASH Centre in Harbour Grace has received a reprieve from imminent eviction.

The youth centre was facing an uncertain future after being notified that the building in which they were operating, the old Harbour Grace Primary, had been put up on tender by the English School District.

The school district says the SPLASH Centre can remain in place for the foreseeable future while the details surrounding the building’s future are being worked out between the district, the provincial government and SPLASH Centre officials.

The school district says it is “anxious to see the building continue to be used for services which benefit the community and people” in the region.
