The Canadian Dental Association is calling for immediate action from each of the provincial and territorial governments to mandate COVID-19 vaccinations for health care workers—including oral health care professionals. That includes dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental therapists, and all other dental officer workers including reception staff and office managers.

The CDA says oral health care professionals work on the front lines providing patients with urgent, emergent and routine oral health care.

The CDA says it is committed to reducing the spread of COVID-19 and the need for hospitalizations and to further strengthen Canada’s pandemic management efforts.
