Two people have been arrested and charged following a report of a home invasion last night in Grand Falls-Windsor.
RCMP were called to a home on Main Street last night around 10:30. Two people, armed with weapons, forced their way into a home and assaulted two people inside, they fled the scene on foot.
RCMP are calling the incident a targeted incident.
That’s when Police Service Dog Kane was brought in. The dog tracked one suspect who was found hiding a short distance away. The second suspect was located at a home in the town this morning and was taken into custody.
Police Service Dog Kane conducted an additional search of the area and located another item of evidence related to the investigation.
31-year-old Farryn Penton and 26-year-old Robert Reid are each facing a list of charges including break and enter, two counts of assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and disguise with intent.
