After the devastation of Hurricane Larry, it looks like mother nature has thrown us a bone.
Hurricane Sam is projected to track well east of the Grand Banks of the island, sparing us from another major weather event.
Meteorologist with the Gander Weather Office, Veronica Sullivan, says areas exposed to strong northwesterly winds, from Twillingate all the way down to the northern Avalon Peninsula, will see winds gusting up to 90 km/h on Tuesday
Sullivan says it will be a windy day, but nothing out of the ordinary compared to storms normally seen in October.
